Slow things moving in slow motion is a film featuring a Snail in slow motion set to John Cage’s 4’33” (1952). A speaker is provided despite the only sounds audible being those created by the environment, the musicians having been instructed not to play their instruments. Harman describes the combination of these two components: the slow motion snail and 4’33” as intensely beautiful but subversive in that it leaves the audience wanting more.
